Stretches to help your lower back

Lie on floor face up and raise your legs leaving feet flat on the ground
Cross right leg over left leg
Reach right arm through bent right leg and clasp hands below left knee. Pull towards chest until you feel a nice stretch in your right hip. Breathe…
Now stretch the other side. Left leg crosses over right leg.
Reach your left arm through the bent left leg and clasp your hands below right leg. Pull towards chest to feel your left hip stretch. Breathe…
If reaching the front of your lower leg below the knee is too challenging, reach for the back of the hamstring muscle as shown in this picture.
Now pull legs toward chest to feel your left hip stretch.
Next stretch- While lying flat on the floor face up, bring your left leg up as far as you can towards chest
Put your left hand on your left knee. Put your right hand over your right ankle and turn your lower leg as far as you can toward the right.
Now pull your leg in this position toward your chest until you feel a nice stretch in your left hip. Repeat this stretch on the right side using your right leg to stretch the right hip.
Next stretch- Sit on the floor with your left leg bent in front and the right leg bent behind you as shown in this picture.
Extend you right leg as far as you can behind you.
Bend your torso down over your bent left leg. Hold as long as you can. Breathe… Sit up for a few seconds take a breath and bend down again. Hold as long as you can . Repeat this stretch on the other side.
Finish by bending out in front over your folded legs.
